James's background is unique as he has experience with the construction of homes and commercial buildings, as well as the design and the project management side. His experience gives him a unique perspective when helping clients. James is also very active in the community and has served on several boards, including the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce and other veteran organizations.
ABOUT
He was born and raised in Rochester, but he was lucky enough to see many places around the world while serving in the United States Navy. James has an associate's degree in Architectural Design, and he is finishing his last eight courses for a bachelor's degree in Applied Management.
He and his wife, Annette, have been married for over 32 years. They have three children: Madison (27), Dakota (24), and Sophia (almost 18).
WHY REAL ESTATE?
For the past nearly thirty years of his career, James has been involved with the design and construction side of residential and large commercial projects. He has designed over 300 homes himself, and he's built over 200 of those. He has managed over $1 billion of commercial construction in the fields of healthcare, K-12, and higher education. James has also conducted several hundred property inspections, mostly in the commercial sector. He got into real estate because he loves buildings and helping people find their dream space for business or housing.
FUN FACT
James is pretty handy; he can fix almost anything! He's a journeyman carpenter, so he can build nearly anything out of wood. He can also weld and has built many race cars. He likes to mountain bike and served as a mountain bike coach for the local middle school and high school mountain bike team for over seven years.
