EXPERIENCE
While she doesn't have personal real estate experience before starting with Dwell, Danika's parents used to build and sell houses, so she has learned a bit from them when they were in that season of their life. While they no longer build homes, her parents are very business-minded people, so they often talk about the value in owning real estate, as well as what they learned while being in the business. She is also a very business-minded woman and was raised to be honest, loyal, and hard-working, which Danika believes are personal attributes that will guide her in her career. She cares about the quality of her work, and she cares about the people she will eventually get to work with, which she also thinks is important!
ABOUT
She's been a local all her life! Originally from Mantorville, Danika is the youngest of three and the only girl; her parents and her brothers and their families still call Mantorville home, though these days, she herself lives in Byron. Fun fact: she has three little nephews and three brother-in-laws! As for education, Danika holds a Bachelor's in Business Entrepreneurship and Leadership, as well as a Master's in Functional Medicine.
WHY REAL ESTATE?
No one in Danika's family is a realtor, so she felt she never really knew about the business until her husband Miguel became a part of their lives. Her parents have always been involved in real estate type of business, but she did not realize it until their conversations became more and more associated with the opportunities in the real estate world. Danika became intrigued a couple years ago as she has started to better understand the business, and she felt like she and Miguel could work well together.
Communication and character are important to Danika, and she believes that those two qualities would make a good realtor! She truly enjoys meeting people and learning about their lives. Buying/selling a house is such an important/exciting/scary part of life, so she thinks it would be incredible to help people and families go through it!
FUN FACT
She usually spends her time with her family, especially her nephews; they are at fun stages of life, and Danika absolutely love being an aunt to them. She enjoys going to the cabin up in Nisswa with their friends and family and spending time at the lake all year round. A fun fact is that she and Miguel moved/worked at one of the resorts on Gull Lake for a summer and built a "food shack" on the water. After that summer, they realized they both loved the industry and opened a restaurant in Danika's hometown. Another fun fact is that she enjoys working in the kitchen with their staff as much as she enjoys working in the front of the house!
